Who We Are

As an independent and family-owned consulting and environmental testing services company, Hub Testing is dedicated to serving the environmental and testing needs of industry, municipalities, universities, and homeowners in New England and nationwide. Our clients include public school systems, state and federal governments, private homeowners, universities, the military, and Veterans Administration medical centers around the country.

Hub Testing provides quality environmental services and data in a timely manner at competitive rates. We offer more than analytical services. At Hub, we review our client’s issues, formulate programs, and develop customized work plans specifically to address their environmental concerns. We offer a wide array of sampling and analytical testing services designed to support environmental investigations focused on asbestos, mold and microbiology, lead paint, environmental chemistry, indoor air quality, and industrial hygiene. We provide consistently reliable data, QA/QC standards adherent to good laboratory practices, and organized operational processes that are performed in-house.

Hub Testing’s President, Susan Boyle, started working at Hub with her father during the summers. After graduating from college in 1983, she began her career at Hub Testing working as a field technician as well as performing physical analysis of materials.

Over the years, Susan continued her education with courses in industrial hygiene and related fields, expanding her knowledge and expertise in indoor air quality, mold concerns and asbestos analysis, procedures, and issues.  Susan was responsible for Hub Testing’s microscopy laboratory becoming certified under the NIST BVLAB program for asbestos analysis compliant with AHERA regulation.  In 1987, Susan participated in the inaugural EPA training for asbestos consultants held at Tufts University.

Susan and her father ran Hub Testing together for more than 20 and she became company president in 2010. Under Susan’s leadership, Hub Testing became a Certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE). Susan has been licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Labor since 1988 and continues to perform field work and maintain all necessary licenses.

As a third generation family owned firm, Hub Testing offers individualized customer service for all our clients, whether large or small.  We strive to build trusting relationships with our clients based on the quality of our work, our responsiveness to their needs and personalized communication with them.
